About Esale

Put simply, Esale is an online estate agency with selling fees which are a fraction of the price of a traditional estate agent. Esale was launched as a complimentary business to the already established Elet, a letting agency based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. A year later - once Esale was established and running smoothly - a decision was made to incorporate the business. 

We make no bones about being a Yorkshire-based firm – indeed we’re proud of our roots and the no-nonsense approach to business which so often epitomises the region. We’re not really into sharp suits or flash cars. We try not to use clichés or jargon. Put simply, our mission is to offer a friendly, honest and reliable service to clients who want to sell their homes.

Over the last few years, our reputation has spread and, from our offices in Harrogate, we’re delighted to say we can now offer homes from the Scottish borders to the West Country and everywhere in between. We’re active on social media and harness the goodwill of our customers via the independent customer review website, TrustPilot. In fact, when it comes to customer satisfaction, we’re delighted to say we’re currently ranked at Number 2 of all estate agencies across the UK. Our Industry

Traditional high street agents still dominate the property market but, significantly, on-line agents have doubled their share over the past two years to over 5% and industry experts forecast the online agents’ share of the overall market is set to grow very quickly over the next five years.

However, recent figures suggest that reluctance or prejudice is beginning to wane. Indeed, experts predict, if the trend continues on its current course, 50% of house sales will be completed online by 2020.

With Neil Woodford listing Purple Bricks on the AIM market, Connells acquiring Hatched.co.uk, Savills investing in Yopa.co.uk, and Charles Dunstone / Roger Taylor having just invested £13m in HouseSimple, the on-line sector clearly has further growth potential.

At Esale we firmly believe we have everything it takes to be the next player to make a mark. We’re confident we have a scalable business model which only requires investment to make it a reality. To make that happen, we need to enhance our profile, not just in Yorkshire but across the UK, and that means a comprehensive marketing strategy, embracing the traditional print and broadcast media as well as all the online channels and platforms.
