Founded in 2018 by Jamie Wykes-Hobday (Bodybuilder and CMO) and Simon Daniel (Triathlete and Chief Technical Officer), the FITFCK app is currently the leading fitness dating app.
Based on Jamie's experience within the fitness industry, the app is designed to connect like-minded fitness enthusiasts in what can be a very socially isolating industry.
"I have been hugely passionate about fitness for many years and after competing professionally in bodybuilding competitions, I experienced how detrimental a commitment to fitness can be on your social life. Competing professionally means you can’t go out to bars/clubs, you can’t eat out due to your strict diet and you have to be asleep early every night, making it extremely difficult to meet anyone. I couldn’t meet partners as they wouldn't understand my commitment, I couldn't train with any others because they didn’t train at the same intensity as me, and it made me think, ‘there has got to be a way for people to meet likeminded partners to date and train with’.
This lightbulb moment led to the launch of FITFCK. Our goal with the business is to create a genuine fitness community in what can be an extremely social isolating industry and lifestyle. The app is designed to facilitate relationships across the fitness community" Jamie Wykes-Hobday, London Loves Business.
Thanks to Jamie (SMU Business Management Graduate) and Simon's (Former Jaguar, Rolls Royce) unique working relationship, the app has managed to create quite the impact on the fitness industry, ultimately leading to it being described as 'The Fastest Growing Fitness Social App' by Google, London.
